Set in a pretty area of Old Eastbourne in what was part of the Duke of Devonshires Estate. The Motcombe Garden area has remained in its current form for many years and has echoed to the frustrated cries of the bowlers over many a warm summers day. We have excellent quality Cumberland turf, expertly looked after by Roy Charman who is a specialist greenkeeper and, co-incidentally, also looks after the playing surfaces for the Devonshire Park tennis club,. This is where the pre-Wimbledon Ladies and Men`s tennis takes place each summer and attracts big interest.

Parking is generally very easy right outside the park and usually only needing a short
walk if the road has become busy.

In the evenings you will find plenty to do in Eastbourne, all clearly listed in the local paper,
The Eastbourne Gazette and Herald, where theatres, cinemas and restaurants will all be shown.

The greens are enclosed on the east and south sides by old flint walls, protecting the bowlers to a large degree from the wind, especially from the east.

There is an enchanting view across to the old parish Church of St Mary, with the flint wall clearly shown on the east side of the greens.
